Today we are learning what a powhiri is.

Tomorrow we are welcoming our new principal and new students that has just arrived at our school this year. we will welcome them with a powhiri. principals from other schools are coming to watch. It is gonna be a big celebration.

math was important to Captain cook because he can use math to measure the depth of the sea so they can drop an anchor. They also use math to balance out the world. He also needed math to make charts of the world.

1. The ship was brought back from the navy in 1768.
2. It launched in 1764.
3. It was first called HM bark endeavour.
4. The HMS endeavour sank and has never been found.
5. They made an exact replica in the 1980s.
6. Captain cook was the first european to define New zealand.
7. A sailor traded HMS endeavour to Captain cook.

Today we are learning about Emotions.

I feel energised at school when playing tag. 
I feel joyful when i play with my friends. 
I feel excited when im at home.
I feel amused when looking at the teacher. 

I am annoyed at the teacher when he gives me hard work.
I am restless when I come to school.
I am fustrated at home. 
I am peeved at my friend.

I get peaceful when I go home.
I get serene at school.
I am thoughtful about my friends.
I am greatful to have my teacher.

I feel sad when my teacher yells at me.
I feel exhausted at school.
I feel miserable when i make a mess at home.
I feel sullen my friend.

the hardest thing was to do the colouring and going back and forth and looking for the right words to put in the sentence.  enjoyed learning about all the emotions.
